The September meeting of the troop
committee was called to order by Billy Dillon, Committee
Chairman, on Sept 8, 2001, 8:05 am at Sandy Lake Rd
Baptist Church, Coppell TX, with 22 present.
Minutes of the August meeting were accepted as posted on
the web-site. The treasurer's report shows a
balance of $10,497.43. Rich Piper also prepared a
summary of summer expenses from account history.
September campout is a trip to
Turner Falls OK. Plans are to leave at 5:30 pm
from SLRBC and return Sunday afternoon. A drivers
list was circulated. More drivers will be asked to
sign up at the parent's meeting.
Sept 7-9 St. Ann Carnival
security. Good money for the troop. Need
boys and adults for both nights. Good turnout last
night, need coverage tonight as well.
Sept 24 Deadline to sign up for
the October 21 Camporee. $7.00 fee.
Oct 21 Eagle Court for Aaron Lee.
Mr. Gary Smith gave the
Scoutmaster's report. The annual troop calendar is
at the printers. Hopefully, it will be ready for
Tuesday. OA Fall Fellowship is Sept 21-23 at Camp
James Ray. Three members from T-840 are going for
lodge offices. Voting is Saturday 9-22. YPT
is 9-13, 7pm at FUMC Coppell, 9-22, 1pm at PPUMC Irving.
Den Chief Training is 9-15 at PPUMC Irving. Take a
sack lunch. Popcorn kickoff is 10-04.
Annette Ezzell is chair. No Troop meeting next
week 9-18. Leadership training for this term's
officers is scheduled instead.
ASPL Jason Brandt represented the
boys. He told of the St. Ann Carnival security
this weekend. Chili Supper tickets for Nov 2 are
on sale now, each boy must sell $75.00 of tickets to be
eligible for the May Buck Auction. December
activity needs to be rearranged.. The TXRR trains
don't run Dec/Jan. Turner Falls has a lifeguard on
duty. $18/boy due before the boys leave Coppell
Friday night.
The green trailer needs to move to
the back of the church parking lot. Motion by
Steve Lacey, 2nd Debbie Warrick, to have a T-840 sign
made for this trailer, too Gary Smith will purchase the
sign.
Mr. Tom Day is teaching Family
Life merit badge now Dr. Lacey will teach it again in
January 2002 and then every other year. This badge
takes about four months to complete.
Chili Supper tickets receipts must
be turned in by Oct 30 to count for the Buck Auction.
Each Scout will be issued a receipt for his sales.
Advance group sales to the three middle school bands are
$5/band members. Any leftovers will be sold for
$6/quart. Paper goods need to be inventoried.
A committee of Bloss, Navoj and Lacy will make
recommendations for use of any profits in excess of Buck
Auction needs. Precook is Oct 28, 2pm.
Cooking 11-2 starts at 2 pm. Plenty of work
for everyone - Adults cooking, Scouts staffing the
serving lines and clean up. Sing up sheets with
Allen Shyne.
Callers are needed for the
Philmont call in. Sign up with Rich Piper.
June 29 is the date for Seabase 2.
Next summer camp is at Camp
Pioneer in Arkansas. We will get the dates in
November.

Nawoj, to fund the web page as part of the budget.

Accolades to Gary Warrick
for his webmastership. We follow the BSA
guidelines.
Richard Hohnholt will give the PLC
information on equipment pass along.
Billy Dillon announced the next
meeting will be October 7, 2001, Cozby Public Library,
Coppell. The meeting adjourned at 9:15 am.
