August 4, 2001
| The
August meeting of the troop committee was called to order
by Billy Dillon, Committee Chairman, on Aug 4, 2001, 8:05
AM, at Cozby Library, Coppell TX, with 19 present. Minutes
of the June meeting were accepted as posted on the web-site.
The treasurer’s report shows a balance of $6662.03. Rich
Piper also prepared a summary of summer expenses from
account history. August campout is a trip to Schlitterbahn.
Plans are to leave at 4AM Sat, 8-11, from SLRBC and return
Sunday afternoon. 15 Scouts need to sign up to make the
trip a reality. $20 deposit due Tuesday 8-07-01. Transportation
is critical. Please drive the vehicle you signed up with.
Cell phone numbers of the drivers need to be given to
Martha Otwell. Wear Class A uniforms to travel. Change
at the waterpark.
Mr. Kim, Equipment, purchased 6
tents from REI. They were used on the WY trip to Camp
Buffalo Bill. Current photos are needed for troop medical
records that accompany all events and trips. Give to
Mrs. Cauley, advancement. Brent Lacey has received a
scholarship from Heart of America Council to apply against
expenses this fall at Texas A&M. He leaves for school
Aug 24. The Venturing crew went soaring this past weekend.
4 Scouts from T-840 attended. Susan Davis moved, Marsha
Nichols 2nd, that we sent troop t-shirts to the Search
and Rescue crew in Park Co, WY. Motion passed. Upcoming
dates to log on the frig calendar - Aug 18 Service hours
- Wagonwheel benefit carwash. Wear troop t-shirts and
swim trunks. Walmart/Southlake 9AM-noon. Aug 18 - Eagle
Court for Brian Bloss, Hackberry Presbyterian Church
2PM. Aug 25 - Annual planning conference, 8 AM, Rejoice
Lutheran Church choir room, Followed by lunch and swimming
at Lacey’s. All current and fall leadership must attend.
Aug 26 - Court of Honor SLRBC 2 PM.
Sept 7-9 St Ann Carnival security.
Good money for the troop. Need boys and adults for both
nights. Sept 8 - next troop committee meeting. Sept
11 - next parents’ meeting. Billy Dillon announced the
next meeting will be Sept 8, 2001, Cozby Public Library,
Coppell. The meeting adjourned at 9:05 AM.
